Boban Marjanovic (7 foot 4inch)

Boban Marjanovic is a Serbian professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association. He is currently one of the active tallest players in NBA history.

He also plays for the Serbian national basketball team in international competitions. In 2015, he earned an All-Euro League First Team selection.

Boban has spent 8 seasons in the NBA, but he’s never could play over 60 games. Like most other really tall players, he lacked the speed and agility to match up with other Centers in today’s game.

He has played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks. He is currently playing with the Houston Rockets.

Ralph Lee Sampson Jr. is an American former professional basketball player. He is a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

A 7 foot 4inch tall phenom, Ralph is a three-time college national player of the year, and first overall selection in the 1983 NBA draft, Sampson brought heavy expectations with him to the National Basketball Association (NBA).

As a rookie, Ralph averaged 21.0 PPG, 11.1 RPG, 2.4 BPG and played all 82 games. He also helped lead the Houston Rockets to a Finals appearance vs. the Boston Celtics in 1986. After 5 stellar seasons in the league, his career was haunted by injuries.

Despite a short-lasting career, he will be remembered as one of the greatest 7+ footers to ever play the game.

During his career, Ralph won the NBA Rookie of the Year in 1984. He was also in the NBA All-Rookie Team of 1984.

He was a four time NBA All-Star (1984–1987) and a NBA All-Star Game MVP in 1985. Ralph Sampson was probably one of the tallest NBA players in the NBA history.

Mark Eaton (7 foot 4inch)

Mark Edward Eaton also known as Mark Eaton was an American professional basketball player who spent his entire career with the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association.

He was named an NBA All-Star in 1989, he was also twice voted as the NBA Defensive Player of the Year. He was a five-time member of the NBA All-Defensive Team.

Mark spent 11 seasons in Utah Jazz, he averaged 6.0 PPG, 7.9 RPG, and 3.5 BPG over his career. He had a season where he averaged 5.6 BPG and played all 82 games.

He also set records for most blocked shots in a single season (5.56 bpg in 1984-85) and for an entire career (3.50 bpg) both of which still stands today.

Eaton became one of the best defensive centers in NBA history. He was one of the tallest NBA players in the NBA history.

Utah Jazz retired his no.53 Jersey in honour of him.

Sim Bhullar (7 foot 5inch)

Gursimran Singh “Sim” Bhullar is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Hsinchu JKO Lioneers of the Taiwanese P. League+.

He played college basketball for New Mexico State University and is the first player of Indian descent to play in the NBA game.

Although, his NBA career didn’t last all that long, but he is still playing basketball in Taiwan. Some major teams he played for were the Sacramento Kings, and two NBA developmental teams, the Reno Bighorns and the Raptors 905.

He won the SBL champion (2017) and also became the SBL Best Foreign Player of the year (2017).

The No. 11 was retired by the Houston Rockets in honour of Yao Ming.

Shawn Bradley (7 foot 6inch)

Shawn Paul Bradley is a German-American former professional basketball player who played center for the Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Nets, and Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association.

Nicknamed “the Stormin’ Mormon”, Bradley is one of the tallest players in NBA history.

By the age of 16, just a Junior in High School, young Shawn Bradley had already nearly reached his maximum growth potential and stood at 7’5 feet tall.

He was selected to play in the McDonald’s All American game and won MVP. He still holds the record for most block shots in a college game at Utah State (18).

Shawn Bradley had the longest NBA career compared to any of the other giants on this list. He played a total of 14 seasons and 832 games.

He had some impressive statistical seasons for the Dallas Mavericks in the late 90s in which he averaged around 13.2 PPG, 8.6 RPG, and 3.6 Blocks Per Game.

Slavko Vranes is a Montenegrin former professional basketball player. He also represented the Montenegrin national basketball team in the international competitions.

Slavko had the shortest career compared to any of the other players on this list. Slavko Vranes played in a single NBA game for a total of 3 minutes with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Vraneš was selected by the National Basketball Association’s New York Knicks in the second round of the 2003 NBA Draft. He was released by the Knicks in December 2003 before ever playing a game for them.

After his short stint in the NBA, he moved back home to play in Iranian Super League. His playing career lasted from 1997-2018.

While, Fall doesn’t have a ton of speed, Fall absolutely makes up for it with his great blocking skills and towering figure.

He averaged just 3.1 Pts and 2.4 REB per NBA game during his two seasons with the Boston Celtics.

Manute Bol (7 foot 7inch)

Manute Bol was a Sudanese-American professional basketball player and political activist. Listed at 7 ft 6 in or 7 ft 7 in tall, Bol was tied with Gheorghe Mureșan as the tallest player in the history of the National Basketball Association.

After he played college basketball for the Bridgeport Purple Knights, Bol was selected by the Washington Bullets in the 1985 NBA draft as their second round draft pick. Bol played for the Washington Bullets, Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors over the course of his NBA career, which lasted from 1985 to 1995.

In his rookie year he averaged 3.7 PPG, 6.0 RPG, and 5.0 BPG. During one of his seasons for the Washington Bullets, Bol played alongside Muggsy Bogues. Pairing the shortest and tallest player in NBA history.

He recorded the more blocked shots than points scored, due to his 7 foot 7inch stature. He was considered as one of the greatest shot blockers of all time.

Gheorghe Muresan (7 foot 7inch)

Gheorghe Dumitru Muresan, also known as “Ghiță”, is a Romanian former professional basketball player. At 7 foot 7 inches, he is tied with Manute Bol for the tallest player in the Entire world.

He is considered as the tallest basketball player in the NBA history.

During his career Gheorghe Muresan played for the Washington Wizards and New York Jersey Nets. He last played for the Pau Orthez in the 2000-2001 season before retiring from the NBA court.

In his early career he had a season in which he averaged 14.5 PPG, 9.6 RPG, and 2.3 BPG. After moving on from the NBA, he played in the French league for a while.

The NBA player, became the French League champion in 2001 and French League Cup winner in 1993. He is a two time NBA field goal percentage leader in 1996 and 1997.

In March 2007, Gheorghe Muresan played a game for the Maryland Nighthawks. That year, the Nighthawks had formed the tallest lineup in history. Although, Gheorghe Muresan was not the tallest player on the court. His teammate Sun Mingming was standing at 7 foot 9inch.
